Kerri Strug - 1996 Atlanta Olympic - FX

Wasze zdanie:
  • love how easy she makes that dismount pass look
  • the floor roetines back then had so much more origionality and they just allowed the gymnast to be themselves!
  • Great tumbling! Boring routine! Different choreography could have made this a nice one. oh well.
  • 1:47 how cute!
  • Its sad to see how courageous and powerful these 'girls' are (cos they aint women anymore generally) and yet how childlike they seem when they step off the floor....or is it the mother cuddling regime the Americans used to use???? you dont see it with the Europeans !
  • 1:39, 1:59, 2:09
  • @indiatree I wholeheartedly agree with that assessment! Just awful, from the musical composition to the flow (if it can be called that!) of the rountine, the only thing consistent is her choppiness!
  • She reminds me a lot of Mary Lou. I hate this routine so much. Kerri's a great tumbler... but a lot of her gymnastics disgust me.... i.e. 1:17.
  • I think the most impressive thing about was her 1996 vault. But Nadia Comaneci was much better all around. Did you see her back-hand spring, it looked like front flip; she isn't very flexible.
  • Finally! Good commentary! I don't understand a word of it, but they seem supportive and cheerful. I swear, when the Karolyis defected to the U.S., they must have taken their choreographer with them. It is far too reminiscent of late 70s early 80s Romanian dance. There were some good elements though and her presentation and technique were great, except for that second layout on her second pass with the break. Just great tumbling and energy. Shame about the awkward, jerky, overly cutesy dance.
  • She is a decent dancer, but whoever choreographed this routine did a rotten job. That person should never be allowed to compose another floor routine ever.......or to butcher any piece of music with all of those abrupt cuts. Awful.
  • bye
  • Yes, the Karolyi's and most of the top gyms in the U.S. used Geza Pozsar for choreography. He was also from Romania and defected to the united states in the early 80's during a Romanian gymnastics exhibition here in the US. In fact, Geza choreographed all of the floor routines for the USA gymnasts on 1996 Olympic team.
